I have been a qualified physiotherapist for 25 years, completing a degree in Bachelor of physiotherapy at Brunel University, London in 1998. I began my career at St Richards hospital where I worked in various wards and departments gaining experience in respiratory, neurology, orthopaedics, pain management, aged care, and outpatient physiotherapy.
In 2000 I began working as a senior physiotherapist in a busy outpatient department. I worked there for many years assessing and treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. This included treating patients referred to me from GP’s, orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists, accident and emergency consultants and the pain management team.
With a love of sport and treating sport related injuries, I also became the physiotherapist for Bognor Regis rugby club for evening training and weekend matches.
I immigrated to Australia with my family in 2009, and enjoyed several years as a full-time mum, travelling, and exploring this beautiful country with my husband and 4 children.
I decided to pursue my physiotherapy career again in 2019 and was blessed to gain experience and training alongside Lynda Miller at a sports injury clinic.
In May 2021 I began working as a senior physiotherapist (with limited registration) in aged care. This involved many aspects of treatment and rehabilitation for our precious elderly community, including assisting them with their activities of daily living, mobility and transfers, pain management, oedema and arthritic joint management and skin integrity management. I also conducted regular strengthening exercise classes and balance classes as part of fall’s prevention strategies.
I have a special interest in holistic physiotherapy and love working through the entire lifestyle picture of my clients when treating their condition or injury.
